Ofuku Sake Brewery was founded in 1897 (Meiji year 30) by Goro Kishi as the ‘Kishigoro Store’. Their factory is located in the vicinity of rich forest and clear water at the foot of the Higashiyama mountain range, around 5 kms from the Nagaoka city center.
Ofuku Brewery’s Junmai Daiginjo has won fifth place in the World Liquor Festival held in London and many other accolades from overseas.
This pure rice Junmai Daiginjo made from Gohyakumangoku rice produced in Niigata prefecture and natural spring water from Echigo Nagaoka is bottled while it is still raw and is allowed to mature slowly at freezing point.
