The history of Imayotsukasa-shuzo can be traced back to 1767(Meiwa 4).
At the Imayotsukasa-shuzo, only Niigata’s natural “Suganadake” spring water is used for making sake.
Using Suganadake spring water and high quality sake rice, the sake is made with great care and has a strong, delicious flavor, even when compared to other dry sake.
Imayotsukasa-Shuzo makes only “Junmai-shu” and no “Futsu-shu” at all.
Imayotsukasa’s philosophy is to improve the quality of sake available to the broader public while maintaining its own vision of the perfect sake.
It is the passion of its brewers that helps Imayotsukasa-shuzo continue to win over new converts to its sake products.
