The label of Amamizu has been drawn from Chōjū-giga, one of the ancient Japanese illustrated hand-scrolls depicting frolicking animals and humans.
The drawing shown on the bottle is called “Kappa” which is deified as the god of water in Japan.
Amamizu means literally the "Heavenly Water" that is inhabited by the god of water, since the tradition says that Kappa can only live in pure water.
Nakagawa-shuzo uses very clear underground water for brewing, and this is why they choose Kappa for theie label.
Particularly, this bottle is made of white silk-like ceramic which indicates a holy sake dedicated to a god.
